A lot of people take their pictures at the busy streets of Myeongdong or at any street food stalls while they eat, so no wonder that this might be the first set of pictures you’ll see from your friends when they visit Seoul.

Common Ground is a hip place, especially for youngsters. It is a complex made of shipping containers and is the largest container shopping mall in the world. They also have food trucks, which is really gaining popularity here in South Korea. I would advise for you to go at night so you can see the lights go up and chill at the upper floors lined with restaurants and bars.
Direction: Take the subway and go to Konkuk University Station (Line 2/Line 7) Exit 3, walk-in 3min. distance

Namsan Tower is a famous tourist attraction not only for those who want to see a great view of Seoul up high but because of the love locks. Especially those who have a significant other, this is a great destination to lock your love to forever.
Direction: You can go there by cable car but there is a charge of 8,500 per way. To reach the boarding place, walk for about 10 – 15 minutes following the street at the right side of Pacific Hotel when you come out of Myeongdong station exit 3. It is an uphill walk.

Bukchon Hanok Village is an area of traditional Korean houses that dates back to the Joseon Dynasty. It has gained popularity among tourist that it has become a nuisance to the homeowners. They now assign people to remind people to be quiet while visiting the area because people still live in those houses, while others have made it a business establishment.
Direction: Go to Anguk Station (Seoul Subway Line 3), Exit 1 or 2.
– Go straight for about 300m to arrive at Bukchon Hanok Village.

The ultra futuristic and home to Seoul Fashion Week, the Dongdaemun Design Plaza is one spot you shouldn’t miss. The building, designed by world-renowned Zaha Hadid, looks like a spaceship just landed in the middle of Seoul. This area is also famous for fashion shops surrounding the plaza and where you can also start your trip to Seoul by riding the Seoul Sightseeing Tour Bus, stationed right beside the DDP.

This is one of the most iconic places in Seoul and probably one of the most visited, too. The Gyeungbukgung Palace is the biggest palace among the palaces in Seoul and is near the Blue House, the official residence of the President of South Korea.
The Gyeungbukgung Palace is also home to the famous Changing of the Guards Ceremony, where men in astonishing garb change positions with their counterpart which pretty resembles what they used to do in the earlier ages.

The I Seoul U is the official brand of Seoul, made in partnership with the Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) and is actually made by a citizen of Seoul named Ha-rin Lee. The winner vested thousands of entries in a contest held by SMG.
Direction: You can find the ISEOULU in front of Seoul City Hall, Seoul City Hall Line 1 exit 5. There is also another one in front of Han River,
go to Yeouinaru Station. Subway Line 5. Exits 2 or 3.
